All loveliness!
I was accepted to the "Young Alberta Book Society" for my novel ("The Curious Adventures of India Sophia")!
What that means is pretty soon I will be on their website and schools can request me to come to do a reading and talk about writing, which is DEEEELIGHTFUL. They pay all of my traveling and hotel costs, and I get paid to read. PAID to READ! Does it get any better than that? I don't think so. It's all about me, me, me! Oh, and maybe the kids, a little.
So all you wonderful teacher friends of mine - spread the word, bring me to your schools. Make me famous. Love me, love me, love me!
Oh, and I'm sorry if I came across as a bitter old man-hater on the last few posts. Those of you that know me, know I am not, just working out the kinks of pain, but still, just to set the matter straight...
An Ode to Men (in general)
Men are cool,
men are fine,
I'd like one to be my Valentine.
I met one this summer that was especially nice
and although it didn't work
and we wont be throwing rice
I still like them in general
and... blah, blah, blah, lice.
Um... so that's why I don't do poetry.

It's so funny, because Steve and I were just talking about this the other day: spreading "TCAOIS" gospel around. Getting you some exposure. Thinking about how we could be part of that. Voila!
