Simplify.
Simplify.
Slice through to bone.
Sacrifice the unnecessary.
Trim off the excess...
He called to me as I sat in church and I was given a little piece of healing. A blessing wrapped in common brown paper and addressed to me.
The accompanying letter said:
Dear Friend,
Dear Love,
Dear Girl,
Dear One,
Did you forget you are at the centre of my heart? Did you forget how beautiful you are? Did you forget your glory? Did you forget to be more than the easiest way out?
I unwrapped the paper and opened the box. Inside was a package of frightening pain. It sucked me straight to God's side like a black hole and I fragmented into thousands of pieces in that darkness. In that beautiful darkness, two years worth of hindsight has shown me there is no place I would rather be. Thousands of pieces floating about, atoms of me, colliding with God, marking our encounters of friction with the creation of heat.
All is well.
