The spell checker suggested "supplanted" for Coupland

I read an absolutely giddy review of Douglas Coupland's new book - "jPod" in the paper this morning (some days substitute teaching is so glorious). It's being published June 5th - no release date yet.
I laughed out loud in class as I read some excerpts. Those high school kids. They've no sense of humor at all.

I'm such a geek.

You're NOT a geek! Or, or if you are, SO AM I! Geeks unite at Pen Pockets R Us.

If I could sleep with all of his books, I would.

Oh, oh, oh! Me too. "Hey Nostradamus" would be my first pick, but if "Life After God" winked at me, and smiled over his shoulder - I'd be gone.
"All Families are Psychotic" was a little like a rough relationship. I kept thinking, "No. No. I should just give up. This isn't worth it." But then, I'm so bad at giving up, that I'd pick it up again. I finally made a decision to commit to it to the end, and bam! I fell into it.

Which is your favorite?

I "read" Hey Nos. on audio book, and hearing it engraved it onto my heart. I feel very attached to all of its characters. All Families are Psychotic was very theraputic for me. Those characters were fucked up, but so lovable. I like the relationships in Microserfs a lot. Girlfriend in a Coma messed with my head, and I loved that. I would take it to a desserted island, because it's one I could read over and over and get something new out of every time. I LOVE THEM ALL!
