I realized tonight, after listening to The Weakerthans, "My Favourite Chords", about 789 times, (sigh... I do love that song) why, when I first heard it, I didn't like John Samson's voice. He sounds so Canadian. There are too many, better written articles, than I care to compete with, about this Canadian phenomenon - of only recognizing ourselves in other people's "voices", so I won't bore you. I'm sure (if you are a Canadian who has read any arts magazine in the last ten years) you know it all. It's just weird to recognize it in myself, when I am so aware of, and adamant against doing it. Eh?
"...Wish I had a socket-set to dismantle this morning. "
My glory, that guy just might kill me with the deliciousness of his lyrics.

Have you listened to any Songs Ohia or Magnolia Electric Company, two parts to one beautiful band.
interesting band, i'd never listened to them before.
my cd player has been monopolized these past few months by Josh Ritter's new album.
wicked cash, (i always feel so formal, writing "wicked cash" as if i am calling you by your whole, "you're in big trouble, to whom it may concern," name.)
dear friend, i have not listened, but i trust your musical taste like mad, so, i shall.
i WAS shelby, in the play, "steel magnolias" in high school. does that count for anything?
joel, does "interesting" mean, "pfft!"?
josh ritter needs a different name, though. i can only think of jack tripper (john ritter) when i hear it.
alright gentlemen. i'm done being a geek, now.
