I can't very well pour out all my sadness on you, dear readers, without sharing some of the good stuff too, hey?
I just found out I'm getting a grant for school! Waaaaahoooo!
It's especially nice, seeing as how I was praying for some insight as to how to come up with the, as of yet, elusive payment. It went something like this.
"Look here God," I says. "You'd better find me some money, cause you gave me skinny hair, so I can't sell it, a country that donates blood, instead of buying it, and a fab body, but rules against makin' money off of it. So really God, my hands are tied. I've done what I can."
And lo, God sends me a cheque.
Rad!
Oh, and he also sent me an uncle to replace the cat/dog pee filled carpets of the place we're moving into.
Oh, and two book readings/presentations.
And another cheque in the mail today that I didn't know I was getting.
Call it a good government, call it coincidence, call it my good fortune, call it my uncle. I'm feeling pretty loved, pretty held, pretty blessed, pretty God-ed.
Break out the champagne, kids. I'm a celebratin'!

wha-hoo! : ) that's the best news I've heard in some time!! You must be so happy: I'm happy for you! That's wonderful. Sit back in the glory of it all today and remember this feeling. A grant!! Blessed in this, indeed. Congrats, my friend. : )
That really is so wonderful, Ang. I'm celebrating for you too.
What gifts! Hooray. And thanks for your comment at my place.
Always a good time with the God-ing!
As for selling blood, there's always that whole plasma-selling-thing, but I hear they put the blood back in you when they are done, so there are several times I have gone hungry rather than doing that....
