WOW! It's about time more recognition came your way. ; ) What is your short story about? Did you write it recently? When is it going to be published?
Give yourself a pat on the back for me. Or some allsorts. ; )

thanks jodi!
allsorts done. waist, rapidy expanding.
it's one of the stories i wrote for my blog (ahhh yes, the hours of sitting here, at my computer, are not a complete waste of self indulgence). i don't have all the details about dates yet, but i'll let you know when i do.
and no. no recipe for turnips - just mashed with salt and butter. ummmmm yum.

so is it a story that is currently on your blog, or one that just had your blog as your potential audience?
I'll have to take your word on the ol' turnips. Maybe you can have us over for them. : ) And I agree--something more like allsorts for dessert as opposed to fruit. ; )

Congratulations, Angela. Very good. I, too, wondered which blog story you referred to--the one about The Sparrow? I also want to know what allsorts are. Any chocolate involved?

deanna, crazy but no. no chocolate involved. allsorts are those deeeelightful licorice candies that are all layered with "icing"(?) or sumpin' or round and full of coconuty goodness.
i assume it's not only a canadian oddity/scrumptiousness?

jodi, hell ya! you can come over and i'll cook you up some turnips. and you still wont like them, but nice friend that you are i'm sure you'll fake it fantastically!

oh, ah, er yes, the story - "step, step, tap, tap". it had a ridiculously short word count guideline. now that i think of it, i didn't write that for my blog, i wrote it for the publication, and then, posted it.

now you know.

Whether allsorts are peculiar to Canada or not, I haven't heard of such a thing. Post a picture or website sometime, if you think of it. But who really cares? You're story's getting published; that's the thing. :)
